Omar El Akkad joins us in the Audible Studios to discuss his debut novel, American War. Epic fantasy writer and New York Times best seller Brandon Sanderson joined us in the Audible Studios to discuss Oathbringer, the third book in his Stormlight Archive, and he revealed his process for getting his books just right. After studying social science and political science at Cambridge, he began working for fuel company Shell. Born and raised in West Lothian, Brady pursued a career in journalism after university, though always had an interest in comedy. After reaching the final of "So You Think You're Funny" at the Edinburgh Fringe, Brady launched her stand-up career and has since appeared on panel shows. Brady knew she was autistic as a teenager, but was told she couldn't be, as she was good at making eye contact and had a boyfriend. After finally getting a diagnosis in 2021, Brady has now penned her autobiography, Strong Female Character, which details the struggles she faced growing up with autism.

Ty Franck and Daniel Abraham both live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where they met through mutual friends and began writing and gaming together. Having already built the world of The Expanse for a game (it was initially created for an MMORPG pitch), the pair set out on a task to bring the world to life through fiction. Their first novel, Leviathon Wakes, was published in 2011 and was nominated for the 2012 Hugo Boss Award for Best Novel and the 2012 Locus Award for Best Science Fiction Novel.
