You will remember the story of Aladdin and his lamp; that when he rubbed his lamp and made a wish, then the genie would appear. Jesus said, "There is a light that lighteth every man's path". But he added, "If you put your light under a bushel, then no one can see it". It is this light which is the light of God and the light of life that is your light.

Thought is the greatest power known to man. Out of the past we created the present. And out of the present our thought is creating the future. We become what we habitually think. Think lfe! And you will be filled with new vitality and power. For there is a guiding, producing intelligence that responds to every definite demand made upon it. Think poor thoughts and you become poor. Think great thoughts and you become great. What you are thinking now is conditioning the days ahead.

Unto you is given the power to create and accomplish in life the deep desires of your heart. The incarnation of God in man, as man, is this power. Freely it is given to all alike. Some intuitively realize this and bring forth great works. Others are lulled by their material acceptances from childhood to the present and never realize that within them is this unconditioned possibility. The infinite expects the finite to reproduce in its area all that which the infinite is. God’s expectation is upon you.

Every human being thrills at the thought of power. The thought means different things to different people. Power to you may mean mastery of your physical body, the ability to walk, run, play, to engage in ceaseless activity. To me, it may mean abundance, money, homes, cars - opulence. To another, power may mean education and the ability to influence people. Whatever power means to you, you desire a larger amount of it, a closer affiliation with it.

Everyone loves a lover. No matter what our faults may be, if we have a deep affection for others, people will excuse our shortcomings. Those who have had the greatest love for humanity are the ones we admire most. Love is the greatest thing in life and without it, we are lost.

From the Introduction: The hand of eternal progress is brushing the cobwebs from the corridors of time and is again revealing to the human race the mysteries of being. As there is "nothing new under the sun", the searchlight of Truth is bringing to light only what has been known to the few in all generations. The time has now come when the few must become the many. The whole world, from the least to the greatest, must know the Truth, so that man may understand the great laws that govern his life.

Our teaching has a very great deal of mysticism in it and it should be more completely developed with the realization that mysticism is not mystery just as intuition is not psychism. Half of the world and three-fourths of the world in our field, who should know better, mistake intuition for psychism and think if a person gets a hunch they must be very spiritual so most people mistake mysticism for mystery.

Throughout our lives, we have read and wondered about the miracles of Jesus. But to how many of us has the thought come that this same power must be available to everyone? We have been so accustomed to thinking of Jesus as a man filled with love and compassion and human kindness that we have overlooked something else about him that is equally important. Jesus had access to a spiritual power that he used in every way.

The treatments found in this book - one for each day - were written for you. But here is a wonderful caution: you must do more than merely listen to the words; you must feel them, know the truth of them and believe them. Unless the words are believed with utmost faith, no change will take place in your consciousness, and until you change your consciousness, you haven't changed a thing. Hear - feel - know. When Emil Coue came to this country a number of years ago, he brought with him a piece of string with 20 knots in it, and an idea of which the string was but a symbol. His ideas that if you run your fingers over the 20 knots, repeating rapidly, "Every day, and in every way, I am becoming better and better," you will finally arrive at an affirmative realization of life. I know that my oneness with God gives no recognition to anything unlike God. All that God is I am now consciously aware of being. The peace which is God at the center sustains all spiritual and mental attributes in complete equilibrium within me. Love and wisdom are balanced within me. Beauty and power are unified. Knowingness and understanding maintain my right relationship with those in my world.

Success Is self-ordained. No one in this world can make you a success but you. You and you alone control, through the constant and positive action of your mind, the extent and degree of your success. God gave you the power of desire - but you have to use it. And when you start using it toward the success you want, you’ll be amazed at the quick and wonderful things that will happen in your life. Get back in the driver’s seat.

There is, in the universe, a spirit that is self-knowing, and a law that is not self-knowing, but self-propelling, which obeys spirit. We are self-knowing centers in a law that has no volition other than to obey our impulses. We are ignorant of this and consequently bring upon ourselves, through a direct act of law, all the experiences that we suffer. Should we completely change our mode of thinking, we would completely change our environment.

The universe responds to the affirmative mind. It cannot say "no" to him whose mind is set on greatness. Let the words of your mouth, the meditations of your heart and the activities of your hands be acceptable to the Law of Good. You exist in an impersonal universe which, by its own nature, can only produce for you what you command it to demonstrate. Your thought is power.
