As springtime approaches, the grand souks of the northern citystate of Tetranam prepare to accept Oricison's haul from her tropical home of Topaz Harbor. With the wagons organized and loaded, Oricison prefers to spend the remaining days in a drunken stupor, partying with friends before the long journey, but disaster strikes when the power source of her tractor fails. Out of choices, Oricison seeks out her friend, a 300-year-old cyborg named Sugar-Moon, to help her replace it.
