A Flea in History

Vlad the flea and Loxton the rat are perfectly at home in the dirt and filth of Scutari Hospital. But the arrival of Florence Nightingale and her strange companion changes everything. It is 1666, and Vlad the flea and his friend Boxton, the rat, love eating and biting their way around London. But one night in Pudding Lane, they are caught up in a fire that threatens to destroy them, along with most of the City of London.

Whilst Russia and America race to be the first to conquer space, Vlad the flea and Strelka the dog are more interested in what they can scavenge on the streets of Moscow. Little do they know that they are about to go on an adventure that will take them out of this world. Vlad flea is with his friend Crisp VC, the carrier pigeon. They are on a mission to deliver a secret message. It is March 25, 1918, and the friends are behind enemy lines. They must dodge the dog-fights, survive the trenches and seek help from the staff of the hospital tent as they race to reach Britain safely.

The pharaoh Tutankhamun has died suddenly, and the rush is on to prepare his tomb. Vlad the flea and Miu the cat supervise the artists as they paint wall murals. Will they finish in time, and will the friends escape before the tomb is sealed forever?
