Bud & Maggie

Jail didn't sound so bad to Bud Remmick - a small price to pay for killing his boss, an abusive, blackmailing, sociopathic pig. But the plan to ride out a lenient sentence starts to fall apart when prison life turns on him. Then his lawyer turns on him. Then his wife. With nothing left but his own anger, Bud Remmick faces a reckoning with a lifelong dysfunction that plays out behind bars with a couple of unlikely codependents. 

Two years out of prison, Bud Remmick just wants to be a solid citizen. He volunteers as an EMT, then gets a job in his old career: TV news. But after only a week, he discovers bad things swirling around him, including a psychotic photographer and a corrupt politician trying to mess with his wife's livelihood. His old "anger aura" lights up again, the same effect that moved him to kill a man. Will he kill again?
