Doctor Who at the BBC

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of Doctor Who, this release looks back through the radio archives and highlights the wide variety of Doctor Who features and interviews which have been broadcast over the years. Dozens of extracts - many of which have been unheard since their first broadcast - illustrate how the programme has been a national institution, held in fond regard by adults and children alike.

Elisabeth Sladen presents another time-travelling journey through the history of Doctor Who on BBC radio and television. Since 1963, Doctor Who has had a massive influence on our popular culture - as this second volume of rare material illustrates. Tom Baker and Sophie Aldred appear in one of three full-cast BBC radio dramas based around the real-life worlds of Doctor Who. "Regenerations" by Daragh Carville: A group of friends reunite for an annual Doctor Who convention. Set against a backdrop of the Belfast troubles, the play deals with themes of sexuality and love, and features appearances by Tom Baker and Sophie Aldred.
