The First Beaufont

Six-hundred years ago, Genevieve Beaufont stole a dragon egg and buried it. Now it's time for that egg to finally hatch. It's time for Gen Beaufont to be the rebel she always dreamed of. But when she starts digging deeper into the mysterious police matters plaguing the city, she uncovers a sinister plot that no one could have anticipated.

Gen Beaufont has quickly made some powerful enemies. The Commissioner of Los Angeles wants her dead. Since killing her might get him in trouble, he's decided to resort to other means. When Gen is framed for a crime she didn't commit, she finds herself in a dangerous game. Not only does she have to prove her innocence, but she's got to dig up evidence on the Commissioner—showing that he’s the villain behind all the major crimes in Los Angeles. But Charlie Sloane is already one step ahead, planning the biggest attack on the city yet.

Gen Beaufont might be from fifteenth century London, but modern day Los Angeles is her home. And corrupt politicians are trying to destroy her city. Somethings never change, no matter how many centuries tick by.
