The Saga of Draxfort

Introducing the Wixy Witches, this tale of many tales is an allegory like Alice or Oz, lampooning fairytales, the fantasy genre, and status brands. Set in the early fifteenth century, the orphaned Wixy quintuplets evade Florence’s witch hunters, as alchemist Bolinbard Hargmond flees plague with his wife and son Rebicus, heading for Draxenland, an island kingdom in the North Sea. Along with blacksmith and inventor Jack Rojax and Kaitlyn de Belvort, daughter of Sir Justin, Reb faces a devious court, drowning in debt and vying for power as Draxfort, a castle and dynasty rotten to the core, descends into financial crisis, duels, battles and sieges, in a fight for the crown and the unwilling hand of Princess Sharon, heir to the throne.

Not another fighting, fornicating, puerile quest with daft beasts and elfish maidens, there’s no consulting a mirror-mirror, or stepping through one come to that. Reflecting our reality, this is the saga of the very first merchandising brand, the House of Draxfort, and you’re already in it, maybe right up to your credit limit....
