African Liberation

The compilation of this work is a summation of theories and strategies to achieve liberation of oppressed African descendants held captive in the United States. This work is dedicated to the numerous abolitionists, martyrs, and freedom fighters who have continued the struggle to obtain equality.

A master strategist and tireless activist, Bayard Rustin is best remembered as the organizer of the 1963 March on Washington, one of the largest nonviolent protests ever held in the United States. He brought Gandhi's protest techniques to the American civil rights movement and played a deeply influential role in the life of Martin Luther King, Jr., helping to mold him into an international symbol of nonviolence.

Hoodoo is a folklore tradition that was created by and for enslaved African Americans in the southern United States. And before there were honey jars, red brick dust, and everything else you may associate with Hoodoo, there was the need to be free.
