December 1943. The momentum of the Second World War has shifted in favor of the Allies, and American confidence in the security situation has soared in the past few months. City lights and radio stations are back on across the East Coast as normalcy has returned to America. While Germany may be down, though, it isn’t out, and the Luftwaffe has developed the technology to get Nazi Germany back in the war.

This is the second of the three-part series covering the opening salvo of the Great Martian Invasion. US forces recover from the initial shock of the Martian invasion of the Southwest and attempt to set up a defensive line along the Mississippi. The best minds in the US try to come up with ways to defeat the Martians using the little captured technology available to them. Meanwhile, President Roosevelt tries to rally world leaders to aid in stopping the invaders.

The planet Haven slides closer to revolution against its parent nation, Federal America. Everett Wells, the fair-minded planetary governor, tried to create a peaceful resolution, but his failure has caused the government to send Asha Stanton, a ruthless federal operative, to quell the insurgency. Wells quickly realizes that Stanton has the true power...and two battalions of government security troops under her control.

In this book, the initial devastating attack described in book one is basically complete, and the government is struggling with control, while individuals and families deal with a now lawless, fuel-less country with poor communication and increasing risk of starvation. There are only nine meals between civilization and anarchy, it has been said. And so it is, as we are well past nine meals.

France, August 1944. In this alternate history WW2 adventure, American and British forces struggle to trap and destroy the still-potent German armies defending Normandy. This book is an example of Alternative History. That, in essence, is asking what the future could be like. It suggests the US could have become a Dominion of America. Call this standard history with a twist, or even mythology in part. It is certainly historical material, told in fictional fashion.

A protest group made up of "losers" among this "ideal" society— same-sex and cross-racial lovers and their children— threatens the seeming peace and order.
