Wedding bells will soon ring at the Olde Mansion Inn. Liz Eckardt is thrilled to be hosting an autumn wedding at her bed-and-breakfast, and the celebration is even more special because the bride is the goddaughter of her good friend Mary Ann Berne. While planning the joyous event, Liz revels in her new life as innkeeper in the picturesque town of Pleasant Creek, Indiana. On the morning of the ceremony, Liz and her friends in The Material Girls quilting group put the finishing touches on the inn.

Work is Roberta "Birdie" Alexander's inspiration. If she works long enough and hard enough, her father will love her as much as he loves her older brothers. In her Christian walk, Birdie approaches her relationship with her Heavenly Father in the same way.

This is a story about a young Amish couple who had planned to get married when they were permitted to do so. One horrible lie told by a young woman throws the entire community into chaos and splits Jacob and Grace Ella apart. It's only when the woman confesses that things may start to be pulled together once again. The only problem is, unable to stand all of the changes in her life now that she cannot be with Jacob, Grace Ella runs off and the brothers of both families set out to find her.
