When Ettie stumbled over a dead body, she was surprised to see it was an Amish woman, Deena Brown. Ettie soon learned Deena had not always been Amish. It was one reason the woman never fitted in - that and the fact that no one saw her for days when she was working on her jigsaw puzzles. Ettie knew if she recreated Deena's last days, the murderer would be revealed.

Wedding bells will soon ring at the Olde Mansion Inn. Liz Eckardt still has a lot to learn about life in Pleasant Creek, Indiana. Expecting the dreary months of February and March to be an "off season" for her newly opened bed and breakfast, she is surprised to find that the Olde Mansion Inn will be filled with a lively group of alumni, graduates of the local high school. It is sectional time for the area's high school basketball teams, and the town is swept up in "Hoosier Hysteria". Liz can't help but get into the spirit, and she looks forward to the upcoming game.

When Ettie and her sister Elsa-May find a dead body, they discover it is the third victim of a serial killer. Evidence found at the scene suggests the killer is Amish. To clear her friends in the community, Ettie sets out to investigate. Her estranged daughter Myra, determined to make a career for herself as a true crime novelist, joins her on her mission, stirring up strife in the process.

Pleasant Creek, Indiana, loves its history. Each summer the town sponsors Heritage days, a festival commemorating the signing of Pleasant Creek's original town charter. Liz Eckardt couldn't be happier to participate in the star-spangled celebration. Her bed-and-breakfast, the Olde Mansion Inn, is booked solid. But someone else isn't happy. Ettie's sister, Florence Lapp, is in trouble. Her house has burned down, and her gun is missing. Events take a more serious turn when the gun shows up and is linked to a murder. Ettie finds out that Florence has some odd friends, and one of them has been charged over the shooting. Florence insists her friend is innocent even though the DNA evidence proves otherwise.

An Amish murder mystery...A group of Amish youths go on Rumspringa to a local city where they are picked on by a local gang. In the end some of the Amish boys, despite their faith telling them to not fight back, decided that they have had enough and try and stand up to them. The next thing the Amish know is that they are being questioned over the murder of one of the local boys...Will Karson be able to identify the killer before an innocent young man is possibly convicted.

Internal conflict and bad memories cloud his judgement, yet his sixth sense just kind of kicks in on this clean, short mystery. Will his past prevent him from helping solve this case, or can he rise above it all to serve the community, even if he is unsure if he loves it or despises it?

Warning: Before you even consider listening to this, understand that this is a story about a guy that is large, feels he is in charge, and is ready to kick some butt. In truth, he is essentially deaf, almost blind, socially handicapped, and has little sense of smell to boot. Add to that his basic disregard for proper attire and you have one humorous, heartfelt, and, at times, moving story. Okay maybe not that heartfelt or moving, but it may all depend on how you look at things.

The Amish Way: A Father Never Known is the story of a young woman who is looking after her father, when he asks her to fetch a reclusive doctor. She does so, not knowing why he asked it of her. Later, she is asked to foster a child and grows to love the baby and in a while, she finds out who the stranger is and what he means to her and her growing family.

When Rebecca Lehman, a pretty, young Amish girl, goes missing the whole Amish community draw together to try to find her. Sadie Zook, the mother of Rebecca's best friend, becomes drawn into the investigation to find the murderer.
