When Matt logged onto Zombie Wars Online, he expected another fun-filled night of zombie killing with his best online friends. Under the spell of the Felote, a gaming apparatus that forces the player into a controlled REM sleep, reality faded away and a new life began inside the game. It was the perfect escape from the harshness of everyday life. But when a malicious hacker takes control of the game, a new nightmare begins, far worse than Matt and his friends could have ever imagined.

It's game on as Matt and his friends embark on the high school mission in hopes of finding water to support their group. Matt discovers that zombies aren't the only predators in Zombie Wars Online. Will he be able to pull himself together, or will the hopelessness of the game finally push him over the edge?

Through the exploits of Chicago's Big Dez Zombie Hunter, we see why zombie apocalypses have a season and why zombie hordes will never defeat humanity.

Matt confronts Cade to come to terms with their differences. With supplies running low and new twists being continually added to the game, the guys have to decide if it's worth the risk to go on a very dangerous mission. The outcome could spell life or death for their entire group.

During the 1700's, Blackbeard's ship, the Queen Anne's Revenge ran aground at the entrance to Beaufort inlet and wasn't discovered until hundreds of years later. During an expedition of the sunken ship, something went terribly wrong, but the effects of that incident would not be felt until years later when a barrel of an unknown substance was tossed overboard during the expedition. The barrel took several years to erode, but when it did that's when all hell broke loose.
