Wifredo Lam is by far the most celebrated, and most people would say the greatest, artist produced by the Caribbean region in modern times. THE ENGLISH RENAISSANCE OF ART: 'The English Renaissance of Art' was delivered as a lecture for the first time in the Chickering Hall, New York, on January 9, 1882. A portion of it was reported in the New York Tribune on the following day and in other American papers subsequently. Wie ein Sturm ist das Werk Emily Brontës in das Leben von Mithu Sanyal hineingefegt. Die erste Lektüre des Romans "Sturmhöhe: Wuthering Heights" hatte für die Autorin von "Identitti" lebensprägende, lebensverändernde Kraft. Mithu Sanyal hat ein mitreißendes Buch über das Leben und Schreiben der weltberühmten englischen Autorin geschrieben, der man zu Lebzeiten mangelnde Weiblichkeit vorwarf und deren Buch als gefährlich galt.
