Biblical Culture

There are precious nuances contained within the Bible. I employ logical reasoning and utilize life experiences to understand the Bible as a stand-alone book without carrying any kind of religious baggage from my early years. It is important to separate Biblical facts from fiction and streamline the ploy of myth makers about human existence. Anyone willing to see the Bible as more than a religious guide will hopefully find my efforts and research illuminating and helpful.

Each chapter focuses on roughly one century in the life of the Christian church, providing an even-handed view of Catholicism, Orthodox Christianity, and Protestant denominations. Discussion questions at the end of each chapter offer opportunities to reflect on parallels in contemporary Christian church life, considerations from a relevant Bible passage, and opportunities for application. This is an excellent text for a half-year study group.

What are the feasts and festivals of the Messiah? They are not just “Jewish holidays” that are defunct for Christians because the Law of Moses is fulfilled and the Jerusalem temple destroyed. Rather, the ancient feast and festival days were given to all of Israel to keep forever.
