The Aldens can't believe that Greenfield's town council wants to demolish the historic firehouse that has stood for more than a hundred years. So they decide to try to fix up the building, which houses some valuable firefighting antiques. But someone keeps trying to sabotage their attempts. The Boxcar Children must find out who it is!

Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny are working in a general store, to help out a friend of Aunt Jane’s. It seems to the children that the young girl who works in the store is behaving very strangely. She seems nervous and won’t answer any questions about her past. Then a strange man comes to the store asking about her. What secret is the mystery girl hiding?

A backpack full of jewels has fallen out of a plane! Was it just an accident? The Boxcar Children need to find out what happened!

While on the beach at a seaside resort, Benny finds a bottle with a tattered piece of paper inside. When the Aldens find out that it’s part of a map that leads to a pirate’s riches, they prepare to search for the buried gold. But the Aldens aren’t the only ones looking for the hidden fortune. The Aldens visit Goldwin University, where Grandfather attended college. The old library is about to be torn down. But legend says the stone gargoyles guarding the roof of the old building will do anything to protect it - even fly. When the creatures begin appearing outside the windows, people are terrified. But the Boxcar Children think there is another reason the gargoyles are turning up in places they shouldn't. And they're determined to figure it out.

When a new store called The Game Spot opens in their town, the Aldens are thrilled. But it’s not fun and games when the other shops at Crossroads Mall are robbed. What’s more, letters are disappearing from the sign in front of the shopping center! It all seems to spell a new mystery for the Boxcar Children....

But then a house is robbed - its hidden safe emptied - while Jessie, Henry, Benny, and Violet are downstairs entertaining. The Aldens are helping out at the Greenfield Ice Cream Barn. They are learning to make ice cream and creating some new flavors. But they soon notice that the ice cream isn’t the only thing getting mixed up at the Ice Cream Barn. It appears that someone wants to shut the shop down! Can the Boxcar Children sort out this sticky mess before the Ice Cream Barn gets licked?

Grandfather is taking the Aldens on a camping trip. The children enjoy the camp-out - setting up the tent, hiking in the woods, and especially making delicious food over the campfire. It’s an unusual winter vacation for the Alden family when a huge snowstorm traps them in the woods! Luckily, the log cabin where they’re staying is cozy - only there are strange noises in the night and a mysterious code carved into the closet door. The rescue is a long wait for the Boxcar Children, but the cabin is full of secrets.

Does the ghost dog really exist or is someone playing a trick on them? The Boxcar Children are determined to find out.

Even Watch has a part and all the Aldens are helping with the show. Then mysterious things begin to happen. Someone makes a threatening phone call and a costume is destroyed. Maybe the show won’t go on - unless the Boxcar Children can solve the mystery before opening night!
