On peut être à la fois de gauche et de droite. On peut réconcilier l'économie et l'écologie. On peut diriger l'une des entreprises les plus respectées du Québec et s'investir dans de nombreux organismes communautaires. Voici quelques-uns des thèmes que l'on trouve dans cet essai humaniste qui démystifie un à un nos "faux combats", ceux qui divisent et nous empêchent d'avancer et de prospérer.

Ex-maire de Huntingdon et figure publique bien connue, Stéphane Gendron rappelle dans cet ouvrage d’une belle profondeur les événements qui ont contribué à bâtir l’image de l’homme en colère qu’il a longtemps projetée. Le candidat à la course à la chefferie du PQ y relate son expérience de l’engagement sur le terrain, fait état de ses observations sur le parti, et donne une lecture convaincante des facteurs qui, selon lui, ramèneront inexorablement la cause de l’indépendance du Québec à l’avant-scène dans les prochaines années.
