Premier des romanciers modernes, Fiodor Dostoïevski est parmi les plus grands écrivains russes du XIXe siècle. Dans "Les carnets du sous-sol", il fait le récit d'un homme reclus qui depuis son sous-sol observe le monde en contre-plongée.
