Moe is relentless. He tells me I have “a duty to publish my memoir.” I prefer to allow my actions to speak for me. After all, I'm just a biochemist. He wouldn’t let it go, and tried to get those whose opinions I respect to persuade me. My best friend Will said, “What you accomplished through love must be shared.” I admit, it does read like a novel, with its twists and turns, and highs and lows. I was finally persuaded when my Jen told me, “If your story can give hope to one person who doesn’t have it, then you should publish it.” So, here it is.
