Sarah went to college to learn. She went for the classes and to prove her father wrong about what women could really achieve. But all she’s managed to do so far is mess things up. Without knowing how, she’s ended up with two men after her and no idea about which one she wants to be with. The clock is ticking, and she knows that neither of them will wait forever.

Sarah and Robert got close during their class project, but she hasn’t seen him since. She’s starting to think she’s wasting her time. That is, until she gets a phone call from him saying his father wants to meet her. Robert has never had an easy relationship with his dad, and that isn’t about to change on his father’s deathbed. In his last desperate attempt to control his son, Rob’s father sends Sarah away with the message she will never be welcome in Rob’s life. Will Rob be willing to stand for it, or will he go against his father’s dying wishes so he can be with the girl he loves?

Melody is in more danger than before when she learns the real reason she's been taken. Maverick is forced to try and rescue her himself when the kidnappers threaten to kill her. Finally finding out who has been after him after so long comes as a shock, but he just hopes Melody will still want to be with him if he gets to her in time.

Maverick is beside himself when he figures out Melody has been taken, and he might have something to do with it. Melody finds herself kidnapped and in danger due to entering into a relationship with a famous designer. She's beginning to wonder if it was worth it. Maverick goes out and uses a PI to find her, only to find out the threat has been too close the whole time, and Melody finds herself kidnapped yet again.

Maverick Jones was all set to fly out on his private jet, but there are engine problems. He meets Melody Sampson, an attractive stewardess who knows who the designer is. They enter into a bit of a whirlwind romance that ends in gun shots, and that's just the beginning of their crazy ride together.
