For over twenty years, Dara Baldwin has often been the only person of color in the room when significant disability policy decisions are made. In 2018, I suffered a massive cerebral stroke at the age of 24 after cracking my neck. I woke up in a hospital with little knowledge of myself, the world, or any grounding in reality because of the damage to my brain, along with left-sided paralysis.
