Africa, a continent teeming with diversity, culture, and history, has long been a destination for explorers seeking knowledge and enlightenment. While often portrayed through the lens of its natural wonders and political struggles, Africa has also been a crucible for intellectual exploration.

Have you ever wondered what PhD studies looked like? Have you ever had the desire to pursue PhD studies, or do you know any friends, relatives or loved ones who would like to engage in the adventure? Do you want to set your/their expectations straight? Do you want to test and feel the PhD waters without lifting a finger? Then you are in for a treat. PhD studies can be fascinating and fulfilling as much as they are challenging. Most people however can only resort to uninformed guesses as to what a PhD journey really looks like.

"The baobab tree story, which I wrote (the church version) is actually based upon a true story, told by Limakatso Nare, a Lutheran pastor who is currently serving a congregation in Louisiana. When he was growing up in his native Africa, he gathered for Sunday school under the baobab tree. Here he learned the Biblical stories of Noah and the ark, Jonah and the big fish, and the parables of Jesus. His Sunday school experiences inspired my story, Under the Baobab Tree."
