Early America was saturated by the Bible. But America has strayed from her biblical foundation. Today America faces a great crisis: the book that has played an integral role in developing and forming our nation is now the same book that few read and even fewer understand.

How did the movement founded by Jesus transform more in the first 75 years after his death than it has in the 2,000 years since? This book tells the story of how the Christian movement, which began as relatively informal, rural, Hebrew- and Aramaic-speaking, and closely anchored to the Jewish synagogue, became primarily urban, Greek-speaking, and gentile by the early second century, spreading through the Greco-Roman world with a mission agenda and church organization distinct from its roots in Jewish Galilee.

On a cold, cloudy day in early February 1985, Shelley Wachsmann, then resident nautical archaeologist for the Israel Department of Antiquities and Museums, drove to Kibbutz Ginosar, an agricultural settlement near the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Throughout history, the war between good and evil has influenced humanity. Originally created in the image of the good father, mankind fell to sin because of the influence of the bad father of lies, Satan. Now as humanity approaches the second coming of Jesus Christ and the end of this war between good and evil, you must now make a decision either to follow the good father to eternal life, or the way of the bad father that leads to death.

Familiarity and dishonor kill the anointing. The Jews, being the fathers and mothers of the faith, were dishonored and replaced by other church fathers that, along with Emperor Constantine, crafted a religious system that dishonors the Jews and all things Jewish. As a result, the anointing left, and miracles ceased. This distorted religious system affects many Christians until this day.
