Fairy Land

There is nothing worse than being bored especially on a Sunday afternoon when it is raining! With that in mind, Auntie Joanna takes Tingle and Josh on an adventure to the land of Boredooom! There they discover the three different villages of Dull, Drab, and Dreary. During the adventure, Tingle and Josh are amazed by how bland the children's lives are in the Land of Boredooom! After meeting the Yawners and The Grumpies, they come to realize how exciting and full of play their world is.

Sylvester Lou is unlike anyone you have ever met. He has large eyes, floppy ears, and even a beak! Sylvester lives in Linx Land, where the same this or the same that is celebrated, and being different is not appreciated at all. But that’s one of the things that makes Sylvester wonder about the Linxes’ archenemy—the savage beasts known as humans. They live nearby, but are separated by a mountain and a river that Sylvester is forbidden to cross. But that mountain looks beautifully enticing.

These delightful stories capture the very essence of India. These stories are set in both the rustic setting of laid back villages, where time has almost stopped, to the modern settings of cities, where everyone is in a hurry to reach somewhere, yesterday. Simple stories, simple ideas, and simple thoughts remind one of the simple life that once existed and is now more and more getting lost as we are drawn inexorably into the speedy web of things.
