This is the first book in a series by Tim Simpson. The Victorian era new York city commissioner Theodore Roosevelt is sent in to reorganize the police department when as series of murders occurs, murders that appear to be done by an animal. However is not he only one looking for the killer, JP Morgan millionaire entrepreneur wants the legendary for his own personal gain. Edgar Allan Poe's early literary works were poetic, but he quickly turned to prose.
