The first Duke of Marlborough (1650-1722) was a soldier of such genius that a lavish palace, Blenheim, was built to honor his triumphs. On 22 August 1485, Richard III was killed at Bosworth Field, the last king of England to die in battle. The Newgate Prison was a prison in London, at the corner of Newgate Street and Old Bailey, just inside the city of London.
