Great Dystopian

The Resistance has barely nursed its wounds from the recapture of Blackout, and now it's looking to another tougher target: the massive steam-powered railway gun known as the Landquaker, the sentry gun of the formidable Iron Wall. To conquer this rail-mounted cannon, Jacob and company turn to old allies and new friends, from the land-loving tribes to the land-roving biker gangs. They'll need every soldier they can muster. 

The kings of men found friendship in King Rapha and Prince Rohan, although they did not know from where the king and the prince came. The kingdom of Hevania was their ever-present help and friend for many long years. Yet within Hevania and the palace of King Rapha himself, a dark shadow began to grow, a shadow banished to the Dark Forest beyond the Mountains of Wise. The dark shadow waited in silence. At the right time, this shadow would come to the kingdom of Lorolaen, for the king and the people of Lorolaen had forsaken the council of King Rapha and Prince Rohan.

The Great New Deal provides a (not quite) fictional preview of future history. This future period may not be as soon as tomorrow, this week, or even this month. Then again, maybe it will be. A global pandemic, political conflict, and social unrest shake America and the world. Leaders learn of an impending existential crisis and work to solve it. Millions are lost in the Great Surprise. Subsequent disasters claim more lives and disrupt communications, infrastructure, and the economy. Emotions are tested and communities unravel.

Over the years while writing, directing, and acting at radio theater workshops and in the Mark Time Radio Show performances at Minneapolis' CONvergence science fiction conventions, Brian Price and Jerry Stearns found that they shared a love for classic Beat poetry, Lord Buckley, and prose poems, so they started doing some of their own. This is a collection of their unique hybrid of humor, music, character, and performance.
