Grief Poetry

The author’s personal journey of transformation following her son Blaise’s suicide. The book traces her path from grief to understanding and healing, shown through a collection of 21 fables and poems she wrote to Blaise in the year after his untimely death. This audiobook explores Laura’s message that it is in your power to overcome personal difficulties, no matter what, by creating something beautiful in the wake of whatever has befallen you. The terrible times you suffer are not the end of life, but can become a new beginning.

Journey to happiness through writing. This book of poetry chronicles my journey through the grief of the death of my soulmate to gratitude and then, surprisingly, happiness. As I wrote and sketched I realized that the words and images welled up from my soul, helped me understand my experience, and moved me forward into healing. There are five sections in the book: "The Power of Love", "Loss and Grief", "Healing Begins", "Gestation", and "Thriving'. I have included musings and prompts after each section to encourage listeners to write their own journey to happiness and even joy.

Sona Van (en realidad: Ter-Hovhannisian) es una famosa poeta y viajera Armenia. Nació en Ereván, Armenia. Su abuelo, un respetado clérigo armenio de la ciudad de Van en Anatolia oriental (de ahí el seudónimo literario del poeta) en el terrible 1915, se quedó en Estambul con una gran parte de su familia. Todos fueron testigos presenciales o incluso víctimas de las atrocidades de las jóvenes milicias turcas.
