Finding Comfort is a book about easing grief and trauma after unimaginable horrors - mass shootings, catastrophic natural disasters, and terrorist acts. Through personal recollections of responding to tragedy, combined with a practical application, Earl Johnson offers listeners the tools they need to seek support and offer it to those in need. The book walks through the life cycle of disaster care from the first hours and days to the years that follow.

Over the 20-year period that I was trapped in an abusive marriage, I left and reconciled with my husband many times before God gave me the courage to break free once and for all. I wanted to find a book that would soothe my troubled spirit and show me clearly the Scriptures that speak of God's heart for hurting and abused women. I could not find such a book and so, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I wrote this 40-day devotional. This devotional aims to comfort and uplift the hurting heart of any woman who, like me, was overwhelmed by the pain of an abusive marriage.
