His health and his wife's, who is more ill than he, must be avowed. How railroad men such as James J. Hill, Charles Francis Adams, Fred Ames, and Ransom Cable comport with transportive difficulties is set forth. J. P. Morgan attempts to bring the western railroads in economical accord.

Jay Gould sought to yoke a corner on the gold market in August and September, 1869. His endeavor came to a head on September 24, a day known as the Gold Panic, or Black Friday. Many merchant houses, banks, and brokerages thereafter failed because of the flagrant volatility in prices. This drama presents the acts and thoughts of Gould, his partner, Jim Fisk, and their brokers during the panic.

Venus and Adonis is a rich and rewarding work. This version includes substantial in introductory and concluding commentary from Shakespeare expert Charlie Creed, in addition to the full poem. Written in glorious language, the story balances comic invention with a tragic and moving love story. Appearing in quarto form in 1593, Venus and Adonis was Shakespeare’s first published work - for though several of the author’s plays had been performed by this date, none had been printed.

Nobody Is Above the Law is an audio drama set in the early 1980s (before cell phones had caught on in America). In 1863, under the instigation of his former associate, Daniel Drew, the New York State Legislature betrayed Commodore Vanderbilt, withdrawing the permit for his extension of the Harlem Railroad. The lawmakers and Drew then shorted Harlem stock. This play of counteraction portrays the most competitive businessman of the nineteenth century.

Two Gentlemen of Verona is a comedy with a relatively small cast by Shakespeare's standards. It is possibly one of Shakespeare's first plays, and some regard it as a relatively immature work written between 1587 and 1593. It may even be Shakespeare's first play. This production is abridged in plain English, producing a condensed version of the play without the complexity of Shakespeare's sometimes obtuse language. Though a comedy, the play focuses on the themes of love and friendship and the conflict between them.
