London, April 1912. The third Irish Home Rule Bill is passing through Parliament, and the situation is growing ever more tense. Closely involved in the negotiations, cabinet minister Edmund Latimer finds himself under growing pressure, which only intensifies when his seven-month-old niece, Lucy, is snatched away in her pram in Regent's Park. Could there be a connection between Lucy’s kidnapping and the Irish talks? With her husband under intolerable strain, Edmund's wife, Alice, makes it her business to find out.

Washington, D.C., 1972. Derek Strange has left the police department and set up shop as a private investigator. His former partner, Frank "Hound Dog" Vaughn, is still on the force. Nazityskland 1944. Tredje riket är på väg att falla och många nazister försöker fly innan det är försent. Många vill ta sig till Sverige och säkerhetspolisen Loman får i uppdrag att övervaka flyktingvågen. Loman är less på sin roll i ett cyniskt spel och är snart något annat och intressantare på spåren; mystiska vapenleveranser. Loman är något på spåren men i bakgrunden lurar svenska nazisympatisörer. Karl Arne Blom föddes den 22 januari 1946 och uppväxt i Nässjö i Småland.
