American Indian Fairytales is a collection of Native American folklore retold for children and young adults. Margaret Compton (1852-1903) drew on authentic lore from a wide selection of regions. The tales include "The Story-Teller Himself", "Snowbird and the Water-Tiger", "The Coyote or Prairie Wolf", and "How Mad Buffalo Fought the Thunder-Bird".

Here's an amusing collection of Dakota-Sioux fables, often featuring the vain and mischievous imp Iktomi. Fables such as these were told to Dakota-Sioux children for entertainment but also to teach through negative example the importance of honor, modesty, manners, and other aspects of a noble Indian lifestyle.

Jewish identity and experiences have been a source of much intellectual interest and discussion for philosophers and literary geniuses in the history of humanity, such as Hillel, St. Paul, Ibn Ezra, Maimonides, Calvin, Mann, Levinas, Herzl, etc. In this fine tradition and in the class of such geniuses, H. C. Kim has produced a volume of literature that will certainly rank among the most elite in the genre.
