The first of several stories is about a small group of preteen friends determined to make their little town a better place…no matter where you’re from. If you like secret government conspiracies, rogue scientific groups, extraterrestrials, 1980s nostalgia, action/adventure, or science fiction, then this is for you. This is the first of several stories to come.

1929, Heroldsberg, Germany. Rolf might only be twelve years old, but he’s old enough to know that things have not been good in his country since the end of the Great War. Half of Germany is out of work, and a new political movement is taking hold that scares him. Every night, Rolf’s father and older brother, Romer, have increasingly heated arguments about politics at the dinner table. And when two members of the new Nazi Party, Hans and Nils, move to town as part of the Hitler Youth, Rolf is uneasy to see how enamored Romer is by their promises of bringing Germany to glory.

Myasako and Takashi are the first in a while to try to hunt down a Korokoshin Monster, and Martin and the Garganfan discover what Jacobson Muldridge has been working on for these past few weeks. He has an invention that has the power to change the course of the whole world's existence, but the Garganfan suspects that it might do more harm than good, and he fears a war could break out between humans and the most powerful beings in the forest.

Kid Cotton is caught up in the change, but not the change he was expecting. He is sentenced to 10 years at hard labor in Louisiana’s notorious Camp 3 for attempted bank robbery. Camp 3 is deep in the Atchafalaya Swamp where no one has ever gotten out alive. After two years under the whip, he escapes with two other convicts and heads for Texas.
