Thirteen-year-old Jennifer Nicole McGillicuddy, nicknamed Sweet Pickles, lives in the small riverside town of Anglers Cove, North Carolina—a place where most folks would assume not much ever happens. Or does it? With a natural curiosity and a talent for solving things, Sweet Pickles searches for mysteries in her sleepy little town. High on her list is the Beethoven Castle, an abandoned 1800s mansion rumored to be haunted, according to some of the townspeople who swear they've heard strange and eerie organ music coming from it around Halloween every year.

When her small town is rocked by a series of baby kidnappings, Teo vows to spend her summer break solving the mystery, and convinces her friend Logan—who would much rather spend his vacation relaxing—to help. Their search for answers soon leads them to the woods at the edge of town, and Teo fears some kind of supernatural creature might be behind the snatchings. What else could explain the creepy figure they see moving through the trees, or the bloodcurdling screams coming from the forest at dusk?

A magical adventure awaits young listeners in Boo Who?, when a precocious girl named Gracie, her dog Sniggles, and their friends Bob, a crotchety crow, Lucy, an eccentric cat, and an anxiety-filled squirrel named Ziggy befriend a fearful little ghost, Boo Montague, at the Hocus Pocus Pumpkin Patch. Boo was shunned by the other ghosts because he’s cheerful, not spiteful and frightful. Gracie invites Boo to join them for Halloween. All is well until Sully the snail, who delivers the mail, arrives with a note from Annie Mc Fannie that reads, “Halloween has been canceled!”
