This book holds not only the beautiful rosebuds of life’s growth, but also its sharp, threatening thorns. Every poem is left to fulfill another journey, never relying on that of another to do so. Sometimes, words sit seemingly simple, but more times than not, its vines will burrow deep into the root of life, tugging at its very existence.

Love, Life, & Situations is a collection of poems and thoughts that was written in the course of the life of a young lady finding her way through young adult adolescence. Only a few selections were chosen to share on this journey, but out of the selections, each one has a special meaning or reflection of an obstacle, lesson, or betrayal that she encountered.

A collection of poems that I wrote that will take you on an exploration of life, death, and mostly everything that exists in between, from an aging perspective starting with that of a seventh grader to now a 25-year-old.

The date is March 2020 and the Covid-19 pandemic is sweeping the world, instigating lockdown in country upon country. Life has suddenly changed, personal freedom is a thing of the past, as friends and extended family are separated through social distancing. In a small house in "the street of the hollow eyes" lives a family of four in an ordinary neighborhood trying to get on in these times. Until the extraordinary happens when the father develops a fever.

This is a small book of poems about some of the difficulties we may face on our journey through life.
