Marriage Relationships Communication

Most of what I’ve learned about communication, I acquired in the past few years. For over 30 years I have been teaching, preaching, and writing about the importance of the family in the plan of God. I'm committed to the concept of family in general and the Demme family in particular. As a husband and father, I have the potential to build up and encourage my family like no one else. I also have the ability to tear down and discourage my wife and sons. This book shares Biblical principles of communicating I have learned and applied in our home. 

I was watching my daughter’s program called Don’t Judge Me I Am A Single Parent one evening as she interviewed a practicing social worker. The knowledgeable woman made a statement that startled me. The discussion was about those who had experienced abuse - she said “If you are a victim you never get over it”. I remember thinking - if that being the case how will that experience influence a person’s future i.e. marriage. Coincidentally just a few days after; I spoke to a friend who discussed some issues she was facing in her marriage.
