Nishan-e-Asmani (The Heavenly Sign or the testimony of the recipients of revelation) first published in 1892, is one of the smaller but equally important books by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian (1835-1908), the Promised Messiah and Mahdi (peace be upon him). It is a closely reasoned thesis, primarily based on prophecies made by some earlier Muslim saints and seers about the Coming of the Promised Messiah and Mahdi. That all the events precedent to the coming happened as prophesied.

This is a lecture delivered by Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad(ra), second Successor of the Promised Messiah(as). The primary purpose of this lecture was to provide a correct and accurate historical account of the conflicts which arose most prominently during the Khilafat of Hazrat Uthman(ra).

The life of one man has perhaps never been the centre of such passionate debate as with the case of Jesus the Messiah, peace be upon him. While some consider him imposter, others believe he was saved from being hung on the cross by ascending into the heavens physically. In this book, with compelling testimony, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, peace be upon him, presents the true and accurate biographical findings on the life of Jesus.

The term Moor is a historical rather than an ethnic name. It is an invention of European Christians for the Islamic inhabitants of Maghreb (North Africa), Andalusia (Spain), Sicily and Malta, and was sometimes use to designate all Muslims. It is derived from Mauri, the Latin name for the Berbers who lived in the Roman province of Mauretania, which ranged across modern Algeria and Morocco. Saracen was another European term used to designate Muslims, though it usually referred to the Arabic peoples of the Middle East.

Refutation of the Divinity of Christ (Ibtal Uluhiyyat-e-Masih) was originally penned in Urdu by Hazrat Maulana Hakeem Noor-ud-Deen, Khalifatul-Masih I (ra). The book was written at a time when highly charged religious polemics dominated the atmosphere throughout British India. Christian missionaries engaged in aggressive campaigns to proselytize the Muslim masses and boasted of considerable success.

A Gift for Baghdad is the English translation of Tuhfa-e-Baghdad, which was written in Arabic by the Promised Messiah (as) in 1893. It is a reply to an announcement and letter written in Arabic by As-Sayyid ‘Abdur Razzaq al-Qadiri of Baghdad (residing in Hyderabad, India at the time) maligning the Promised Messiah (as) and accusing him of disbelief (God forbid). In A Gift for Baghdad, the Promised Messiah (as) dispels the misunderstandings and misconceptions held by al-Qadiri and advises him not to hastily accept the allegations of the ulama without proper and thorough investigation.

Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), the Promised Messiah and Mahdi, advised the members of the Jama’at to hold a meeting on that day and offer prayers for the success of the British government. In his address, he commented on the chapter An-Naas of the Holy Qur’an, and reminded the audience of the duties they owed to the government, especially because of the goodness of the government, which it had displayed in various ways

Violent extremist Sunni and Shiite Muslims are at odds about most things. One of the few points that they can agree upon in the midst of their war of mutual annihilation is that the Apocalypse is coming and that they are the soldiers of its harbinger and redeemer: the Mahdi. Across the Islamic world, the figure of the Mahdi has appeared with increasing prevalence in the last few decades.

Our Teaching is an abridged version of the teaching of the Holy Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community as laid down in his book Kashti-e-Nuh [Noah’s Ark]. This book is addressed primarily to members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for their moral and spiritual education. Its contents, however, are so spiritually-inspiring that anyone in search of truth and spirituality can derive benefit from it. The author corrects the miss-interpretation of the verses of the Holy Quran, spread by the detractors of Islam. He describes in detail the genesis of miracles, in the light of the Miracle of the Holy Quran, and repudiates the aspersions cast on Islam, through strong arguments and pertinent examples from the Gospels. A must-listen for the seeker after truth.

The Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Victoria was celebrated with great pomp and show in June 1897 throughout British India. Since the purpose of the advent of the Promised Messiah (as) was to propagate the Unity of God and his message, he found a way to serve those objectives at that occasion. He published the booklet Tohfa-e-Qaisariyyah on May 25, 1897.
