Achomawi and Atsugewi Tales and Achomawi Myths - Roland B. The stories in this collection are drawn mainly from those tribes which lived in the northern and central areas of North America. These represent the linguistic groups gerneally referred to as Algonquian, Iroquois, and Sioux. A final chapter covers the tales of the northwest Pacific Coast.

His opinion and comments (directly or indirectly) are inevitable. This is the ninth volume of his work, 33 Native American Myths, in his words. He retold the stories with his own opinion and approach to them.
