Passion New Testament

The Passion Translation is a new, heart-level Bible translation that expresses God’s fiery heart of love, merging the emotion and life-changing truth of God’s word. The goal of this translation is to trigger inside every listener an overwhelming response to the truth of the Bible, unfolding the deep mysteries of the scriptures in the love language of God, the language of the heart.

Before the gospels were written, there were proto-gospels, notes, lists, and collections used to construct the gospels we have today. Some gospels were used and built upon to form other, expanded gospels. The “Q” Document was used as a memory tool and literary scaffolding by Matthew and Luke in the writing of their gospels. Although many scholars believe Mark had access to the oldest parts of Q, others believe he did not. Since Mark predates Matthew and Luke, they believe Mark was used as a template for Matthew and Luke.

The primary motivation that drove Jesus toward the cross was love. As a man and a member of the Godhead, Jesus' ultimate desire was to do His Father's will.
