Histoire
From Juana Briones and Juan Ponce de León to 18th-century slaves and modern-day sixth graders, the many and varied people depicted here speak to the experiences and contributions of Latinos throughout the history of the United States, from the earliest known stories up to the present day. A portrait of a great, enormously varied, and enduring heritage, this is a compelling treatment of an important topic. Some voices are composite characters, not historical figures.

May 12th is National Limerick Day! Celebrate with family and friends and 101 Fun Limericks for Kids! This audiobook of enjoyable nonsense was designed to tickle the minds--and a few funny bones--of older children, teens, and young adults as well! (Because we're all young at heart, right?) Nothing here is lewd, gross, or grotesque...but I can't guarantee some of these rhymes won't make a mess! Some like limericks to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, but these funny word nuggets are equally delectable year-round!

Histoire
Augusta Savage was arguably the most influential American artist of the 1930s. A gifted sculptor, Savage was commissioned to create a portrait bust of W.E.B. Du Bois for the New York Public Library. She flourished during the Harlem Renaissance, and became a teacher to an entire generation of African American artists, including Jacob Lawrence, and would go on to be nationally recognized as one of the featured artists at the 1939 World’s Fair. She was the first-ever recorded Black gallerist, and worked to advance equal rights in the arts. And yet popular history has forgotten her name.

An achingly beautiful collection of poems about one week in a secondary school where everything happens all at once. Zooming in across our cast of characters, we share moments that span everything from hoping to make it to the end of the week, facing it, fitting in, finding friends and falling out to loving lessons, losing it, and worrying, wearing it well and worshipping from afar. In Everything All At Once, Steven Camden's poems speak to the kaleidoscope of teen experience and life at 'big school'.
