Do you have a prodigal; a child, a husband, or someone close to you that you are crying out to God for? Are you begging God to do something, to please save this person? Do you feel like your prayers are not being answered? Or even heard? Have you been praying and begging God for years, but it is only getting worse? Maybe you even blame God and are angry with him for not saving your loved one by now. Maybe you blame yourself; if only you had known God sooner, you could have led your child to the Lord, before it was too late.

Prodigals digs deeply into each line from Jesus's famous parable about the prodigal son, inviting all listeners—those down on their luck or high on their horse—to identify as prodigals. A prodigal is anyone who accepts they have a sinful human nature and turns toward the love of home, the place where we find a deeper relationship with God. Rather than divide the world into prodigals and nonprodigals, Taylor invites listeners to find themselves in the teaching of Jesus as either younger or elder siblings.

Where to Start! We need to heal our relationship with stuff and our obsession with buying and hoarding possessions to greater and lesser extremes. People continue to fill their homes and storage units with possessions that they don’t have any real use for and yet continue to shop and get themselves into severe debt, leading to a miserable and unfulfilled life. The key to living a peaceful and sane life is to have; a loving relationship with ourselves, our living space, the environment and the possessions we bring into those three spaces.
