Nature is what gives us life—it is the source of all magic and power in the world. That is something that humans have understood since the beginning of time, and it is a constant among cultures around the world. However, the ways in which we celebrate it can vary wildly. Each of these celebrations is a ritual, a form of magic created by community and tradition. And while their differences can help us understand their various cultural identities, their similarities can create a bond that reaches across space and time.

At a time when injustice, immorality and sin ran rampant, the religion of Islam dawned to revive the bond between humanity and its creator, and to establish peace in the world. Our Teaching is an abridged version of the teaching of the Holy Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community as laid down in his book Kashti-e-Nuh [Noah’s Ark]. This book is addressed primarily to members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for their moral and spiritual education. Its contents, however, are so spiritually-inspiring that anyone in search of truth and spirituality can derive benefit from it. The Revealed Sermon is an Arabic sermon delivered by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the Promised Messiah (as), on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. On that very morning of 11 April 1900, he had received the Divine revelation, ‘Today you will deliver the speech in Arabic; you have been endowed with this ability.’ Accordingly, he stood up before a live audience of approximately 200 people and began to deliver the sermon ad lib.

In many societies, a woman is still regarded as a second-class citizen and deprived of basic rights enjoyed by the male population. Resenting this discrimination, they have championed a fight to obtain equal status, which unfortunately to date eludes them in the more modern Western states. Whereas the pendulum has swung to the extremes and has opened the way to licentiousness in the modern society, the West has often regarded Islamic women as being backward in a male-dominated world. On the contrary, Islam was the first religion formally to grant the women a status never known before.

A man is a man of integrity. A man is loving.

The book describes the distinctive qualities, morals, and virtues that set apart those who have made a holy change in themselves for the sake of God. Indeed, the life of the Promised messiah himself is a compelling portrait of the characteristics of such holy personages. Siratul-Abdal is a masterpiece of the Arabic language, employing the most eloquent, powerful, and persuasive features of expression of classical Arabic.
