In late 1994 and early 1995 the world as I knew it came crashing down on top of me. I had a negative life threating event rip through my known universe. My reality was no more, my memories were lost and I constantly courted suicide I saw things that I had no understanding of and heard things that I couldn't grasp. My sleep was full of monsters that chased me and my wakening was full of things that threatened me.

Every one of us regardless of our background will experience some form of brokenness in our lives. We may pass through this phase of life either at the early stages, middle stages, or the later part of our lives. Brokenness is a subject everyone can relate to in his life time, it is part of life.

You may even see a bit of yourself in the characters of the story, but they are actually fashioned after my own family. After suffering a great loss, the characters in the story have to leave the home they love and everything familiar as they begin a new life, in a new place.

Enmeshed within these poems are violent and purposeful contradictions of hate and love, exuberance and apprehension, of wrangling and conflict. “A Clash to Analyze” reveals the disorder and confusion in the current political scene, and “Good as Advertised” propels the listener to a oneness of betterment in order to help oneself, as well as assisting others!

Nidhi Zak/Aria Eipe's spellbinding debut poetry collection explores love and the wounds it makes. Its first half is composed of five sections, corresponding to the five arrows of Kama, the Hindu God of Love, Desire and Memory. This is an audiobook of poetry that had its origins almost 20 years ago. Largely tongue-in-cheek, humorous, lyrical, formal, and free, I have tried to preserve the youthful exuberance characteristic of those early years, while reworking some of it for dignity's sake. Maturity is a beautiful thing. I'd like to think I have acquired some by now. Having it available as an audiobook really rings my bells. Fun, fun, fun!
