Set in the 1960s through 1970s, this coming of age story, is a whimsical drama about a little black girl named Paula Marshall. She's an average quirky kid, growing up in rural Texas, feeling lonely most of the time. The storm cellar of her parents' rooming house is her hideaway, but once Cora shows up, she'll have to fight for her space and peace of mind.
