Social Disabilities

This book is user-friendly. Each chapter will be dedicated to one month. Within each chapter, there will be a subsection for each week. Subsequently, a passage for each day will give the listener a slice of what it means to live with a disability. By taking this cultural journey, the listener will be able to interact with the disabled community and other minority groups authentically.

We think of perception as a passive, mechanical process, as if our eyes are cameras and our ears microphones. But as neurobiologist Susan R. Barry argues, perception is a deeply personal act.
