Il problema dell'educazione appare oggi uno degli argomenti caldi e maggiormente discussi soprattutto fra i non addetti ai lavori. Esso riguarda infatti non solamente la scuola in generale ma, nel complesso, la persona e la società. Riguarda non solo la didattica ma tutte quelle situazioni nelle quali si verificano fenomeni che influiscono sull'apprendimento. Tali situazioni necessitano di interventi specifici, che vanno affidati a persone competenti e preparate, soprattutto quando si tratta di ambito scolastico.

Breaking Barriers shows how to redesign high schools so that all students can move on to college and successful careers. In a negation of the American dream, a child's zip code is currently a far better predictor of success than hard work, intelligence, or resilience. This book tells the story of a school model that focuses on equity and works to prove that all young people can achieve academic excellence given the right support. What should we do about the police? After the murder of George Floyd, there’s no institution more controversial: only 14 percent of Americans believe that “policing works pretty well as it is” (CNN, April 27, 2021).
