I believe that people have much to gain from making sure that authors, artists, publishers and promoters are compensated, while using and getting works like songs, books, audiobooks and so on. I wish to convey how it feels being an author nowadays, how people are becoming aware of their impact on the creative ecosystem, and how we are all interdependent, connected and part of the same society.

It is with great satisfaction that we present to you this thorough analysis of the Santo Domingo metro and feeder bus system, realized by Carl Allen, 2009 GFDD Fellow and graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School Master's Program in Public Policy and Urban Planning. Mr. Allen's comprehensive study is an evaluation of the potential impact of the transportation system on poverty alleviation, congestion, pollution reduction, urban development and social and economic advancement.

Local news is essential to democracy. Meaningful participation in civic life is impossible without it. However, local news is in crisis.
