Space School

In the neon-colored capital planet of Chigu, the Detective and Mystery Club are facing their greatest threat yet: the Mystery and Detective Club! These new rivals will force our crew to fix their own personal issues, work together as a team, and maybe discover that no one is what they seem on the surface. Love, intrigue, mystery, and space cats! What more could you ask for! Oh, and homework too. These empires are not going to conquer the stars by themselves, after all!

It is tricky enough being in the first freshmen class of humans in a post-intergraded galactic military high school, but Karel must work to push past cultural prejudice (others, as well as her own) in order to solve the attempted assassination of her new principal. And there is a space dog. Because space dogs are awesome. No, you stop making up sci-fi animals!

My secret could get me killed down here in the Borderlands. The Earthlight Space Academy is my only hope. It hovers halfway between Earth and the multitude of space stations crowding the sky. Up in space, and in all the space academies, there are no politics, no poverty, and no wars. Unfortunately, it’s too late for the nations on Earth. Down here, the only way to survive is to leave. Nothing is more important than getting into the Earthlight Space Academy. I can’t let anything or anyone ruin my one chance to get out of Hells Canyon.

School principal Dr. Kathleen Corley, a forty-year veteran in elementary education, writes knowingly and with unique humor and insight about the value of education, how kids think and learn, what they need to succeed in and out of school, and how their home life affects their performance. Plus, she tackles some of the most daunting societal issues impacting children today, from bullying to gun violence and beyond. Shadow and Marcus are well on their way to taking over Earth. The humans are mostly oblivious. However, Marcus believes they need to start preparing to go back to Umbra in order to grab the technology on their old planet. In order to do that, they need to secure Earth. This means opening a vampire school and formally announcing the new vampire council.
