Die Angst vor dem Reden und Präsentieren. Viele Leute leiden darunter, aber die wenigsten reden darüber. Du bist nicht die einzige Person, oder einigen von wenigen, die unter dieser Art von Ängsten leiden. Selbst erfolgreiche Geschäftsleute leiden unter Rede- und Präsentationsangst, und ich habe auch darunter gelitten: Ich bin Sophia und leide seit der 8. Klasse unter Redeangst. Es kam ganz plötzlich. Beim Vorlesen habe ich auf einmal angefangen unruhig zu atmen und dann ging es los. Ich bekam schlecht Luft, meine Stimme wurde zittrig und bekam kein Wort mehr raus.

The Greek philosopher Heraclitus is the one who is credited with saying "The only thing that is constant is change." In the world of giving speeches this is especially true. One does not just suddenly become a great speaker. Rather, what happens is that we start to give speeches and gradually over time we get better at doing it. However, we'll never get any better at speaking in public if we don't know how to change.

So why do we give speeches? I mean, talk about an effort! When you agree to give a speech all of a sudden you realize that you've signed yourself up to pick what you want to talk about, do whatever research is required, actually write the speech, and then spend a great deal of time practicing how you are going to say it. What's the purpose of all of this?

Do you know the fastest way to real intimacy? It's as simple as listening. We can all learn to listen better. Why? Because active listening is going to revolutionize your life. It's going to change the way you see others, the world around you, and how successful you are. If you want better intimacy with lovers or friends, better progress in your career, more sex, or you just want to be smarter and wiser, then start listening.
