The American South has given birth to many of the nation's great stories and legends. From the earliest Colonial times, it's been a place of mystery, replete with disappearing colonies and strange apparitions in the woods, but the South's long and proud history has always had a darker, and stranger, side to it. One of America's most famous mysteries was its first. Despite the fact he had left over 100 colonists at the island of Roanoke in 1587, John White returned to literally nothing, with all traces of the settlement gone.

Water covers the vast majority of the planet, and people have looked upon the oceans for thousands of years with a mixture of awe and fear. The world’s water offers transportation, connections with distant lands, food, and beauty. Furthermore, the deep seas and oceans remain largely unexplored, especially farther below. All of these factors have led to centuries worth of mysteries and stories. Countless people have ventured out on those vast expanses of water, never to return, while others have plumbed the depths and made strange discoveries.

Castles have always fascinated people. They speak of a bygone time when gallant knights faced each other in mortal combat to win a lady’s favor, and they bring up images of the chivalry and monarchs of old. But castles have also become centers for stories of paranormal activity, with ghosts replaying the dreadful events that threw them into their unwanted afterlives.

Matthew Hopkins (c. 1620-1647) was an English witch-hunter whose career flourished during the English Civil War. Claiming to hold the office of Witchfinder General, his witch-hunts were mainly restricted to East Anglia. Hopkins is believed to have been responsible for the executions of 300 alleged witches between the years 1644 and 1646. This short but interesting pamphlet consists of a series of questions directed at Hopkins by county magistrates, and Hopkins’ answers, in which tries to justify his murderous deeds.

This is a manual to aid an unarmed security guard in relation to dealing with extraterrestrial or paranormal situations.

Do you believe in ghosts? Do you doubt that the spirit world exists? Are you looking for proof? This book tells it like it is. Listen to it with an open mind, but remember, we are all looking for proof and, until we find it, legends and tales like these are simply legends and tales that are waiting to be investigated further. I have been honest in my accounts of my own experiences, but as the name suggests, they are personal experiences. However, I will keep investigating until I find at least some answers to my many questions.
